I know many photographers avoid wedding photography like the plague, regarding it as either too stressful or formulaic. I always enjoyed it. Yes - you are aware of the pressure of recording the most, or at least one of the, most important days of a couple's life but a bit of stress never did anyone any harm and it keeps you on your toes to do a good job. The formulaic aspect was never an issue for me as I shot weddings in a purely documentary style - ie I photographed weddings as they really happened - no set-ups, nothing staged, nothing directed by me - I always tried to capture the laughter, the tears and the genuine emotions of each wedding day – authentically, naturally and honestly. Well, apart from the odd request from the bride and groom and, of course, the bloody group shots - which everyone hates!

I want each wedding couple I photograph to be who they really are and show what they really feel so I can capture that in images that will take them, their family and their friends back to those special moments time and time again.

My photography style is natural and creative and for the major part of a wedding I will document the day as it actually happens but I also love the opportunity to capture intimate portraits of the two of you together in a stylish and contemporary way.
From my base in Norfolk I have been covering weddings (Christian, Asian non-denominational, same-sex, large and small) throughout East Anglia for the past 12 years.
