Well it was off to Sudbury in deepest Suffolk for the autumn wedding of a lovely couple,Rachel and Steven, this week. We’d caught up a few months earlier to do their pre-wedding shoot in their home village of Brightlingsea – which was one of the most enjoyable and fun pre-wedding shoots I’ve done in ages – we never stopped laughing.
First stop was Dons Barn in the village of Edwardstone to get some photographs of Rachel’s preparations with her sister and bridesmaid, Laura, and her flowergirls.
Then it was off to Dove Barn just outside the village of Boxford to catch up with Steven and his groomsmen – and the sheep!!!! Just to clear up any confusion – the sheep had been imported as surprise guests for Rachel – Steven’s surname is Mutton!
Dove Barn is a lovely, rural wedding barn set in the grounds of the elegant Castlings Hall and had been beautifully decorated for a perfect autumnal wedding. It was a perfect venue for this October wedding with Castlings Hall and it’s gardens available for the family group shots and some romantic ones of Rachel and Steven.
This was truly one of the most enjoyable weddings I have covered in a long time – of two beautiful people. I still can’t get over how much laughter there was – and Rachel’s expressions really took the biscuit. Please take a look at the pictures – they tell the story of the day.
