Last Sunday I had the great pleasure and privilege of photographing the Oxnead Hall wedding of two lovely people, Caitlin and Chris – who you will see from the photographs, are very much in love.
This was my first time covering a wedding at Oxnead Hall and I was blown away by what a beautiful venue it is. The place is a wedding photographers dream – there are so many locations and aspects to shoot- spoilt for choice. Given the cold spring we’ve had this year we were blessed with fine weather at long last.
The day started with Caitlin and her bridesmaids’ preparations. Caitlin’s dress was beautiful with Nina and Victoria’s pastel green bridesmaids dresses acting as the perfect counterpoint. Then it was a quick stop to get some photographs of Chris and the page boy for the day, Isaac – Chris and Caitlin’s 3 year old son – resplendent in matching Black Watch kilts.
The ceremony was held in the open down by the side of the lake with the legal bits completed in the Orangery – with lots of emotion and happy tears from the couple and many of the guests.
